MASAK LEMAK VEGETARIAN CHICKEN

MASAK LEMAK VEGETARIAN CHICKEN

In case you don't like the vegetarian chicken you can use 500gm potatoes to cook this dish.

400gm vegetarian chicken,fried until brown
4 potatoes,cut in to wedges
2 red chilli
1-2 asam keping (tamarind peel) or to your taste
1 small turmeric leaf,finely shredded
1 litre thick coconut milk
Salt,sugar to taste
Grind to a paste
6 shallot
2 garlic
1cm lengkuas
3 lemon grass
8 chilli padi (i use the small type) more if you like it very hot.
2cm fresh turmeric

1. Mix the grind ingredient,coconut milk,salt,sugar asam keping in a pot and mix well.
2. Bring it to a boil add the potatoes and cook over a low heat until the potatoes are cook, add in the chilli,a bit of the turmeric leaf and the fried vegetarian chicken. Cook for a mint then remove from the heat.
