CHICKEN CURRY




CHICKEN CURRY

500 gm chicken,cut into pieces,mix with a little turmeric and salt and keep aside for ½ hour.

2 big potatoes,cut into cubes

2 tomato,cut into wedges

41/2 cup (250ml cup) thin coconut milk or water

60 gm meat curry powder

2 tbsp chili powder

1 tsp garam masala,if you have

2 tbsp ginger paste

2 tbsp garlic paste

Salt to taste

 A few Coriander leaves,chopped

For tempering

3-4 tbsp oil

2 stick cinnamon

2 star anise

2 stalk curry leaves

8 small onions,finely sliced

1.     Heat a Pan with oil and add in the tempering ingredients and mix well. Fry till the onion turn light brown.

2.     Addin the ginger and garlic paste fry till the raw smell disappear. Add in the curry powder,chilie powder and the garam masala powder and mix well add in a little water and mix well fry till the oil rise.

3.     Add in the chicken,potatoes and the tomato mix well and pour in the water or coconut milk mix well and let this cames to a boil and cook till the potatoes and the chicken are well cooked. Taste and add in the salt if needed. Add in the coriander leaves and remove from the heat.
