TOMATO CHUTNEY

TOMATO CHUTNEY

500gm tomatoes,put into hot water and leave it for 5-10 mints,then peel off the skin and chopped.

(A)

4-5 tbsp oil

2 big onion,sliced finely

3 green cilli,sliced finely

2 stalk kari leafs

1 stick cinnamon

2 star anise's

1 tsp mustard seeds

1 tsp ulutham paruppu
(B)
1 tbsp ginger paste

1 tbsp garlic paste

(C)
1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp chili powder,if you like it hot add more.

1 tsp garam masala

1. Heat the oil and add A and saute till fragrant.When the onion turn brown add in the B and a little water fry until the oil rise.

2. Add a little water and add C stir well and cook until oil rise. Add the tomato and cook until thick. Serve with thosai or idili.
