POTATO AND ANCHOVICES SAMBAL
500 gm potatoes,cut into cubes and fry over a low heat till cooked.
50 gm anchovies ( Ikan bilis ), fry and keep aside.
1/2 tbsp tamarind juice
Salt and a bit of sugar to taste ( careful about the salt because anchovies are salty)
1/4 tsp of aji no moto, if you like,but I did't add
1 cup water
4-5 tbsp oil
To be blend:
10 dry chili,soaked
2 big onion ( medium size)
3 garlic
1. Heat oil and fry the blend paste till the oil rise.
2. Add in the water,tamarind juice,salt,sugar and aji no moto mix well and let it came to a boil.
3. Add in the potatoes and mix well and cook till it became a little dry and oil rise add in the fried anchovies and mix well. Remove from the heat. Serve with hot rice.
