COCONUT CANDY WITH MIX FRUIT

COCONUT CANDY


21/2 cup firmly packed grated coconut

397gm condensed milk

1 cup sugar

30gm butter

1/2 tsp vanilla essence

150gm mix fruit

150gm cashewnuts

Lightly greased 20cm tray

1. Fry coconut until partially dry, add milk and sugar. Continue cooking over low heat,stirring continuously until mixture leaves side of the pan,about 30 minus or so. You must know how long to stir if not your candy will be soft.

2. Add in the butter,vanilla,cashewnuts and mix fruit stir well and remove from the heat. Transfers to lightly greased pan pat lightly into place. Allow to cool. Cut into pieces and store in an airtight container.

    1 doubt:to make steam cake can i use my pressure cooker ,u said preheat the steamer ,what it means??Thank you

  2. Thank you Satya...I don't think so you can use your pressure cooker to make the steam cake. To preheat the steamer means. bringing the water to a boil....
