PULUT DAKAP


PULUT DAKAP

  • 300g glutinous rice - wash and soak for 1 hour then drained
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 300g coconut milk
  • 6-7 ripe pisang abu- quartered
  • banana leaves and rubber bend (to wrap and tie)

Instructions

How to make pulut dakap

  1. Mix glutinous rice, salt and coconut milk in a medium saucepan.
  2. bring to a boil over medium heat
  3. Then reduce to a simmer, stirring constantly until rice absorb all the coconut milk
  4. Put aside to cool.
  5. Wash, wipe dry and cut banana leaf into a rectangular shape (15cm by 25cm)
  6. Place 2 tablespoon rice on banana leaf
  7. Place banana on top of rice
  8. Wrap, enclose and fold the filled banana leaf
  9. Tie 2 filled banana parcels (with folded together...as in photo above)
  10. Steam for 30 minutes
