BANANA IN COCONUT SAUCE (PENGAT PISANG)

6-7 bananas,sliced into 2

5 cups thick coconut milk

2 pandan leafs,tear and knotted

½ cup grated gula Melaka

Sugar to your taste

½ tsp salt

1 tbsp corn flour mix with a little water.

In a pan mix coconut milk,brown sugar,sugar,pandan leafs and salt bring to a boil add in the cornflour mixer and mix well. Add in the banana and mix well. Let it boil for 2 minus. Serve hot or cold as a dessert. Or serve with steam glutinous rice.

1 cup glutinous rice,soaked for 4 hours,strain

150 ml coconut milk

2 pinch of salt

Put the rice in a steaming tray and add in the salt and coconut milk.Steam over rapidly boiling water for 30 minutes,fluffing the rice up with a fork halfway through. Remove rice from steamer.Cool and press into any mould you like and serve with the banana sauce.
