ROTI JALA ( LACY PANCAKE )



ROTI JALA

3 cups flour,sifted

21/2 tbsp oil

1 tsp salt

1 large egg

3 cups water or coconut milk,

  Put sifted flour in a mixing bowl. Add salt,eggs,oil and coconut milk or water. Mix well until smooth ( I blend till smooth) Strain the batter to remove any lumps bits.

 Lightly grease and heat a non-stick pan over a low heat. Holding the roti jala maker over the pan,pour a ladleful of batter into it and move it in a circular motion to produce a lacy pattern. Cook the pancake until set.

 Remove from pan and fold into quarts or roll it up. Serve roti jala with any curry you like.
