LADIES FINGER KOOTU
½ cup dhal,pressure cook with 4 cups of water,3 green chilis,2cm
ginger(chopped),3 garlic,1 tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp cumin seeds till the
dhal turn soft.
500 gm ladies finger,sliced
1 tomato, chopped
1/3 cup grated coconut, grind into a paste
½ tsp sugar
1 tsp cumin powder
Salt to taste
For tempering
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp ulutham parupu
1 tsp cumis
4 dry chilie,broken into 3
1 big onion,finely sliced
2-3 stalk kari leaves
¼ cup oil

Heat
the oil and add in the tempering ingredients and fry till the oinion till it
becames light brown.

Add
in the ladies finger and fry for 1 mint. Add in the rest of the ingredient and
cook till the ladies finger is cook and the gravy is thick. Serve with rice.
Note: You can replace the ladies
finger with any other vegetable you like.
