SIMPLE MALAY LUNCH



YOUNG JACKFRUIT IN COCONUT MILK

250gm young jackfruit,clean and cut into pieces.
30gm dried prawns,soaked
500ml thick coconut milk
1/2 big onion,sliced finely
1-2 red chili,sliced in two
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste

1. Heat the oil and add in the onion,chili and the dried prawns. Fry until fragrant.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients and let it simmer until the jackfruit is cooked.

TURMERIC FRIED FISH

500gm fish
Enough salt and turmeric to rub on the fish.
Oil to fry

Fry the fish until cooked.








SAMBAL BELACAN

10 fresh chillis
30gm belacan,toasted
3 tbsp calamansi lime juice
Salt and sugar to taste

Pound the chillies,belacan to the desired consistency. Season to taste with the lime juice and sugar
