SQUID (SOTONG) MASALA

SQUID MASALA

500gm squid,clean and cut into pieces,drain

1 tomato,chopped

2 tbsp meat curry powder

1 tbsp chili powder

1/3 cup water

Salt to taste

(B)
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste

For tempering(A)

1 medium onion,finely sliced

2 stalk kari leafs

1 stick cinnamon

2 star anise

4-5 tbsp oil

1. Heat the oil and add in A fry until fragrant and when the onion turn light brown add in B fry until the raw smell disappear.


2. Add in the curry powder,chili powder and tomato. Stir fry until oil rise add in the water and let it simmer. When the water is a bit dry add in the squid and fry until the squid is cooked and the gravy is thick. Don't over cooked the squid.
